BUG in the ecoSYSTEM was a group Game Jam project developed in June 2017, using Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal’s blueprinting system. The team had four members, two programmers and two artists. My role within the group was lead designer and lead programmer. I also was responsible for importing assets into Unreal Engine and creating the blueprints to make the game function.
Our original goal was to have a procedurally generated 3D level, where a beetle would run along, collecting coins and jumping over obstacles. The player would also have a stamina bar, which charged as the player moved along, and could be used to glide for a short period of time.
The image to the right demonstrates what we managed to accomplish in the five day period.
